The full time Retail Management programme builds on the general business curriculum and prepares students for a leadership role in the dynamic retail industry. Depending on the size of the retail company, retail managers are responsible for one or more parts of a retail operation including buying, marketing, merchandising, operations, inventory control, personnel or finance. Upon completion of this programme, students will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to be leaders in the retail industry.
The Retail Management pathway for the BBA programme has been developed to cater to the rapid growth of organized retail in India with large investments coming in from both domestic as well as international players. This undergraduate degree programme differs significantly from the usual retail diploma programmes being offered in India since it focuses on the competitive advantage of retail businesses. Thus among other aspects, it encompasses crucial managerial knowledge, understanding and skills pertaining to Retail SCM, store location and management, retail operations, retail customer service, quality etc.
Eligibility & Admission Process
- Class 12 of the Indian School System with minimum 50% (in best 4 subjects) in either the CBSE, ICSE or equivalent accredition.
- Objective written test comprising of English and General Awareness. (Those with IELTS score of 6.0 or more are exempted from the English exam.).
- Personal interview.
